If you use the public computer for the surfing then,you should follow some steps before start the surfing. Because may be that the computer you are using is full with the viruses,Trojans,Keyloggers. Most dangerous is a key logger,It stores all the key strokes,The existence of a keylogger is usually kept a secret and is hidden from whoever it is targeting.you can lost your password,cc number and many more that is your confidential data and you can't share with others.
Steps you should follow:
1.Check the Task list just pressing the ctrl+alt+del then task manger window will pop up then check all the processes carefully.If you are unsure for any task then google it and read about it .
2.Use the system configuration utility to determine which task are loaded at start-up (type "msconfig" in the run box to start).
3.Run your "ANTI-VIRUS" programme
4.can your hard disk for the most recent files stored. Look at the contents of any files continually updating (these might be logs).
5.Download a specific Keylogger detector and run it
6.check the windows registry also .
So please follow all the steps when you are going to use the public computer.
